Local Coach Slated to Share Convention Spotlight with HGTV Personality
Local Executive Coach Victoria Cook of The Guilt Free Coach will offer an interactive keynote presentation at the "The Future is Now" conference on June 25th.

CARY, IL, May 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Local Executive Coach Victoria Cook of The Guilt Free Coach will offer an interactive keynote presentation at the "The Future is Now" conference on June 25th. Sponsored by the Staging and Redesign Academy (SRA), and in cooperation with the Greater Chicagoland Decorators Coalition (GCDC), its goal is to address the growing local demand for educational resources from interior designers, decorators, home stagers and do-it-yourself homeowners.

In addition to keynote speaker Matt Fox of the HGTV hit "Room by Room," the event will feature presentations on design industry topics, including: networking trends, window fashions, faux finish techniques and new products. Judy Pelinski, SRA owner and GCDC executive member, said the conference will offer local decorators an opportunity to network while "providing information of value to the average homeowner."

A focal point of the event will be the hands-on workshop conducted by Coach Cook, where conference goers have the unique opportunity to put their experience to immediate use. This working session will teach attendees to identify priorities, maximize time and build on current successes. Each participant will identify an achievable goal and leave with an individual action plan aimed at facilitating their success.

Organizers are proud to host keynote speaker Matt Fox, familiar to many from HGTV's long running design series "Room by Room." Mr. Fox - along with co-host Shari Hiller - were television pioneers with their groundbreaking concept that laid the foundation for reality based shows. At 14 years and counting, "Room by Room" is the longest running decorating show in history. Because of his contributions, Matt is a key figure in the success of the HGTV network.
Cook noted she is delighted to be presenting with Fox. "His incredible success is a testament to what can happen when someone has a clear vision and focuses their efforts on achieving that goal."

The day-long conference is June 25th from 8 am to 5 pm at the Comfort Suites Hotel in Elgin. The enrollment fee for GCDC members is $55; $75 for non-members. If space permits, registration at the door will be $95. General registration opened May 1st, 2010.
